WHY TWO CONKERS?
Games that calm young minds,
instead of hooking them.
Most children's games are engineered to over-stimulate — points, streaks, coins, flashing rewards, and adverts tuned to hold attention at any cost. Two Conkers is the opposite: a small, safe library of classic thinking games with none of that machinery. The only reward is finishing — which is exactly how children build real focus and perseverance.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Calms over-stimulation
Warm paper, quiet colour, nothing flashing, nothing counting down. Sound is off by default. The whole platform is designed to lower the temperature, not raise it.
Genuinely safe
No chat, no strangers, no adverts, no in-app purchases, no links out, no data collection. There is nothing here a child can be sold, shown, or contacted by.
The reward is finishing
No points, stars, streaks or prizes — ever. When the puzzle resolves, that's the whole celebration. Children learn to work for "I did it", not for a payout.
Failure costs nothing
No lives, no timers, no "game over". Getting it wrong is calm and free, which is what makes it safe for a child to keep trying. That's how perseverance is built.
One library, whole family
Shelves for children, for grown-ups, and gentle memory games for older family — each person gets their own. One subscription covers the household.
A trusted shelf, not an arcade
Every game — ours today, vetted guest developers' tomorrow — must pass the same published standard. Small and curated is the point.
WHY THIS WORKS
Decades of psychology back this up. When you attach external rewards to something a child already finds interesting, their natural motivation for it falls — researchers call it the overjustification effect. Reward machines teach children to do the minimum that triggers the payout; when the rewards stop, so does the effort.
Two Conkers removes the payout entirely and tunes every game to sit just past "easy" — hard enough to need real effort, never so hard it feels hopeless, and never punishing. The loop a child practises here is: try, see the honest result, adjust, keep going. That loop is perseverance — and it transfers to homework, reading, and everything else that's worth sticking with.
Grounded in self-determination theory and the overjustification research (Lepper & colleagues, 1970s onward). Our full design principles are published openly.
THREE SHELVES, ONE LIBRARY
Kids
Thinking games tuned to build determination — deduction, words, numbers, logic. Three difficulty settings grow with each child.
Grown-ups
The same calm shelf, stretched for adults — codewords, harder logic, number puzzles. A quiet break that isn't a feed.
Memory
Gentle daily exercise for older minds — recall, sequencing and word games with large type, no pressure and no timers.
HOW IT WORKS
THE PROMISE
What your family does here stays on your device and is visible to you — never sold, never used to hook anyone. Children never see scores, streaks or their own statistics.
ONE SIMPLE PRICE
then £4.99 / month for the whole household
PRICE IS A PLACEHOLDER — EVERYTHING IS FREE DURING FAMILY TESTING- Up to 6 profiles, every shelf, every game
- Your family dashboard, behind your PIN
- Cancel any time — nothing is lost
There will be no free-with-adverts tier — adverts are how children's attention gets sold, and we won't do it. One fair price is the whole business model, which is why we can promise the library will never try to hook anyone.
